Community Support
Through an active community relations program, the Wyoming National Guard demonstrates that it is a good neighbor and community partner. The Guard and its airmen and soldiers are extensively involved in local community organizations and often participate in, or support, the events they sponsor.
There are a number of state and federal restrictions on how we can support organizations and events, and our training and mission schedule always comes first. But by completely filling out and submitting the applicable form by the appropriate deadlines, you greatly increase the chances that we will be able to assist you. We receive a high volume of requests for patriotic holidays, like Veterans Day, so please request assistance early.

A hometown military presence has been a long tradition in community parades. Troops in formation or military vehicles pay tribute to the community’s investment safeguarding Wyoming and the nation.

You may request our Wyoming Air National Guard Flag Heritage Team, a combined service (Army & Air) or an Army color guard for your non-partisan event.

Deadline: The system will not accept requests within a 45-day window; however, we recommend requests adhere to a 90-day deadline for scheduling purposes. Email ng.wy.wyarng.list.pao@army.mil when you receive word your request is approved. We’ll give you confirmation 2 weeks prior to the event if we can volunteer to support the approved request.
UH-60 request form: DD 2535 Aviation Request
Deadline: Submit 90-days prior to the event by emailing ng.wy.wyarng.list.pao@army.mil. We will give you confirmation 2 weeks prior to the event.
(Cheyenne area may include C-130 or UH-60 display)
We enjoy discussing our mission and orienting Wyoming residents to our facilities. We host Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, school groups, civic leaders, and others on a regular basis. In Cheyenne we are sometimes able to include tours of our parked aircraft.

The 67th Army Band can provide music for public ceremonies and special events around Wyoming. Because this is a drilling unit, the band is unable to easily accommodate short-notice requests.

Deadline: 365 days prior to the event. In some cases, we can accommodate this request 120 days out. We’ll give you confirmation 8 months prior (with the 365-day deadline) or 2 weeks prior (with the 120-day deadline).
Wyoming National Guard armories are often available for use or rental for private events. Contact the local armory in your community directly to check space, availability, rates and restrictions.

We are unable to approve flyover requests for our C-130s or UH-60s; approval rests with higher headquarters in Washington, D.C. Typically only requests for high-profile and/or patriotic events are approved. Please remember: real-world contingency and/or training requirements take precedence over community support events and any aircraft assets approved and scheduled to support your request may be required to perform their assigned tasking and therefore, subject to non-availability at the last moment.

In some cases, the Wyoming Army National Guard may be able to support your organization’s event by providing equipment for your use. There are a number of restrictions and regulations governing how and when we are able to support these requests.
