Camp Guernsey hosts ammo amnesty day

Sep 28, 2016

Camp Guernsey will conduct its annual military ammunition amnesty day Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Department of the Army program is provided for members of the public to anonymously turn in military ammunition they may have found.

Unexploded ordnance can be dangerous and should not be stored at a private residence.

If you have military ammunition you wish to dispose of, with no questions asked, please bring it to the turn-in site located at the Camp Guernsey south pistol range on S. Wyoming Highway, approximately 3/4 of a mile south of the Platte River bridge.

If the ammunition is too dangerous to move, please call the Camp Guernsey Fire Desk at 307-836-7810, to arrange for proper handling and removal.
