The mission of the Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) is to strengthen the overall fitness and effectiveness of the Army’s workforce, to conserve manpower and enhance the combat readiness of soldiers.
Targeted Prevention Training
It is based on unit risk factors and individual needs. Peer to peer engagement and equipping soldiers to be able to identify risk factors or behaviors is an important step to soldier readiness and resiliency. The Army Substance Abuse Program offers services to empower soldier readiness with the tools and knowledge that will assist in productivity and identify those who are at risk.
