Purpose
To provide mission-essential training for units and personnel of the Wyoming National Guard, while building strong partnerships with our neighbors at the local level, by applying military personnel to assist in worthy community needs.

Medical & engineering support to Native American tribes
Support to eligible law enforcement agencies
Eligible Organizations
Eligible federal, regional, state, or local Governmental entity (Non-DOD). Any other youth or charitable non-profit organization designated by Secretary of Defense.

IRT Request Procedures
Requirements: Project requests must be made from a responsible individual with authority from an eligible organization. The project must meet NEPA requirements, demonstrate the project is not reasonably available from a private-sector contractor, and meet legal requirements. Projects may be conducted using state funds; or federal funds, if approved, in conjunction with state funds. An After Action Report (AAR) is required to be submitted within 60 days of project completion.
Requests: IRT project requests may be submitted to the National Guard Bureau any time during the year. Supplemental federal requests must be received no later than November 20 of the FY preceding the FY of the proposed project. Please be aware – project requests could take up to 2 years for approval.
